A Navarre woman has admitted to embezzling thousands of dollars from an organization her own children stood to benefit from.
Paula Kerry Nevius, 36, is accused of helping herself to $13,500 from the Holley-Navarre Primary School Parent Teacher Organization.
Nevius was the group’s treasurer.
According to a report issued by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, Nevius, who has at least one child who attends the school, evidently came forward to school officials just before the start of the school year and allegedly admitted to taking between $3,000 and $5,000 from the organization’s bank account.
