The Deepwater Horizon oil spill could burden local governments – and taxpayers – for years, said Santa Rosa County Property Appraiser Greg Brown.
He wants the state to make sure BP pays the bill.
“It’s not an act of God, it’s an oil spill,” Brown told members of the Navarre Area Board of Realtors at their Aug. 11 lunch meeting. “It’s their fault and they ought to be held accountable for it.”
