Evers, Hill share conservative ideas in Holley

 Candidate forums usually take place in the jurisdiction being contested, but not always. 

Navarre Patriots hosted Florida Senate District 2 hopefuls Greg Evers and Mike Hill in a controlled question-and-answer session May 20 at The Harbor at Holley Assembly of God Church -- deep in Senate District 4.

"Whatever it takes," said Hill, a Pensacola insurance salesman, after the 90-minute forum. "

Evers, a Baker farmer and businessman, was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2001. Because of term limits, his fourth and final full-term ends this year. Evers said participating in an out-of-district forum isn't wasted time, even though few if any of the 50 or so residents at the event are eligible to vote in the District 2 race.
