Ending months of speculation, Santa Rosa County Commissioner Gordon Goodin formally announced he will be vying for a third term in office.
The two-term Republican pre-filed for the coveted District 4 seat last week.
He joins fellow Republicans Jim Melvin, Mark Goode and Ruth DuPont Esser in a primary election to be held Aug. 24. If he wins that race, he'll face outspoken advocate Etta Lawlor, who is claiming no party affiliation, in the Nov. 2 general election.
