Navarre Beach rejoins consolidation effort

More than a year after rejecting Midway and Holley-Navarre Fire District's request to consolidate, the Navarre Beach Fire Department has rejoined the effort that hopes to create a South End Fire District.

"We decided at this time, it would be best for everyone to do it," said Shawn Hall, Navarre Beach firefighter and president of its union. "We all run the same calls and run them together."
