Marcie Lee Hamilton, 34, of Fernadina Street in Navarre, was arrested on charges of robbery with a weapon, intimidation by wearing a mask or trying to conceal her identity, and possessing drug equipment.

Christina Sheehan Shariati, 25, of Tallahassee, was also arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license and robbery with a weapon.

According to a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s report, Hamilton entered the Tom Thumb on Navarre Parkway next to the Eglin Federal Credit Union around 1:45 a.m. Hamilton approached the counter and asked how much a pack of Marlboro Reds were.

After paying with change, she remained at the register. The cashier told Hamilton that she had more than enough money to buy the cigarettes. However, something else was on Hamilton’s mind.

“I have something on me,” Hamilton told the cashier with her hand in her purse. “Open the register and give me money.”

The cashier gave Hamilton a $10 bill, some $5 bills and several $1 bills.

According to the report, Hamilton then left in a white van driven by Shariati. The two were pulled over by deputies at the intersection of U.S. Highway 98 and Windale in OkaloosaCounty.

In the vehicle, deputies located a crack pipe along with the missing money.

Each woman is being held on $100,000 bond.
