Following a two-day trial, Navarre resident Michael Joseph Austin was found guilty by a Santa Rosa County jury of showing obscene material to a minor.
According to a report issued by the State Attorney’s office, the 34-year-old Austin was arrested in February 2009 after a nine-year-old girl revealed that Austin had shown her sexually explicit videos during the summer of 2008. A subsequent search of Austin’s residence uncovered DVDs containing sexually explicit scenes which matched those described by the child.
