The Santa Rosa County Local Planning Board will hold a public workshop on Thursday, Jan. 14 following the scheduled local planning board meeting at 6 p.m. to consider regulatory changes for on-premise signs. A review of the sign ordinance relative to on-premise free standing signs was recommended by the planning board in early 2009.  Planning efforts have been underway since. The draft ordinance to be presented at the workshop includes proposed changes to permitted sign size and height along with changes to regulations for non-conforming signs.  

The meeting will take place in the board meeting room located at 6495 Caroline St. The public is encouraged to attend this meeting to comment and make recommendations on the draft. Once the draft ordinance is complete, it will be presented to the board of county commissioners for consideration at a public hearing yet to be scheduled
