TDC committee: Fund zoo

Even though the South End Tourist Development Council Committee has no power to give The ZOO Northwest Florida the funds it needs to survive, their voices have weight when voice collectively to the TDC board.

On Wednesday, the committee voted unanimously to recommend the board fund The ZOO $125,000 out of its reserve fund – enough to sustain The ZOO until the spring.

The TDC board is expected to vote on the measure at its monthly meeting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at the Visitor’s Information Center conference room.
