Political strong-arm tactics failed to sway Santa Rosa County Commissioner Bob Cole last week.
Milton residents threatened to work against his re-election in 2010 if he voted with commissioners Gordon Goodin and Don Salter on Feb. 26 to pay $3.1 million for 92 acres near Interstate 10. Before voting, Cole addressed those threats.
