My blood work came back good. My six-month checkup with my surgeon is soon. I will see my radiology oncologist in the middle of August and my medical oncologist toward the end of September. After my breast cools down, there will be a baseline mammogram and a PET scan to follow. I need to have an Echo test of my heart because of the Herceptin treatments done weekly. WOW!!! Quite a lot coming up, but I'm ready to begin.

My radiation is done!! My skin is cooked, but now the healing process will begin. The tenderness and broken skin will get better day by day and my unusual tan will begin to fade away. I’m excited and feel alive with hope. Thanks to everyone during this treatment time who made things better for my family and I.

This is it. I can count the rest of my treatments on one hand. Five whole treatments to go and I cannot wait until it is over. I could shout it out loud and cry all at the same time. Yeah!!!!!!

I did just that and then had to put an arrow to the next day. Now, I may have to do it again. The office was closed Friday and when I went this morning, the machine was down. They were waiting for the tech to come in and fix it. To me, it could be a relief. But also, one extra day until my treatment is complete.

Four weeks have passed by and now there is an uncomfortable feeling from treatment. I use the lotion four times a day, sometimes more, just to keep the comfort level tolerable. I get more agitated now and want this just to be over.
