Surviving Step by Step:As the Year Comes to an End

Even though treatment is not finished until February 2010, I feel very Hopeful about the outcome. My mammogram came back good. I had to have several extra films taken of my left breast. Not only did the machine squish me from top to bottom but also side to side. An extra magnifying lens was used to examine the films better. I go back in six months to have just my left breast done. This will continue for two years and then afterwards go back to a yearly schedule. I also received the news about my Echocardiogram. The results were better than the last one taken in July. My walking has probably helped bring up my percentage.. I will continue trying to improve my overall health. Somedays it is hard to get out there. There is so much going on this time of year. I'm hoping my blood pressure is better this time before treatment. I was a little more careful about the salty foods. In a few days, I will find out.

I could not even imagine trying to get up for all the Black Friday specials. It was cold and my body does not move that quickly anymore. I did however get out the Monday after all the craziness and was motivated and successful. I may have a third left to do. I have cards to accomplish this week. . The out of town cards will be completed first. My ten year old son maybe going down the slippery slope of believing in Santa. He has been questioning me about his letter to the North Pole. Then I reminded him that at the Shriner's Party on Saturday that he could just tell Santa.. His response was(hesitating) "He knows already mom, he just knows". So this is the last year and the secret about the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny will be no more. My children are the youngest and it was getting harder every year to not say the No Santa phrase. I'm sad but will be relieved.
