My skin is healing very well. It isn’t even pinky anymore. My skin has more of a light tan color. Describe it as an “end-of-summer, my-tan-has-faded” look.
My spirits have lifted watching the healing process. There are two doctor’s appointments next week. The first one is Monday with my surgeon. This is a six-month follow-up visit. The second is with my radiologist. He will be checking the skin to make sure all has healed well. I haven’t heard back about my Echo (echocardiogram) test done last Friday. Maybe I will need to call. If there was a problem, they would have called.
My friend’s baby shower was so much fun. One game in particular had all of us sniffing. The game was called “poopy diaper.” There were five different kinds of mini chocolate bars melted in diapers. We had to figure out which type of candy bar was in each diaper – open and look inside and even taste if brave enough. I guessed two.
Well, my friend had her baby this past Thursday (Aug. 6). All are doing well. He was two weeks early. She was complaining of contractions the night before. Yeah! for her sake.
I will be celebrating my mom’s birthday this Saturday. She will be 84. My sister and I will take her out for fun and food. I may be more tired than she after the big day. I look forward to this happy occasion. My mom likes seafood and candy. We will get her nails manicured and polished up real pretty, make her feel like a queen.
So as the days fly by and my life is getting back into a “new normal,” I will still wonder about my future. I will also accept whatever is in store for me, enjoy life daily and always tell my family how much I love them. Enjoy your day.
My Faith will keep me strong and my Family will make me smile. Life is good.
