Happy Birthday

We all laughed and enjoyed the cake/ice cream. The talk was about bad drivers and what people say to them in their own car. My children get a kick out of their dad when he drives. He may not think it is funny but what he says sometimes is funny to them. Let's face it, we all may have said a few choice words here or there. Sometimes the children are in the car. Then we have to explain ourselves. It was nice to all be laughing together. My wish.... well..

If you tell, it may not come true. My youngest son(9) announced what he thought it would be. To be cured of cancer and not die". It took me off guard. I would never have thought he would be thinking about this so much. It bothers me. :( He should be thinking about playing outside with friends, and school and the Easter Bunny. I will make sure he receives extra hugs and kisses.

This third chemo has been a little worse for me. My stomach aches more and feel drained for energy. Not much taste good. The cake was okay. Still only cold/ fruity food are the most satisfying. My sleep has improved. I finally broke down and asked for help to sleep. It wasn't an easy choice for me but a wise choice. I was in tears the night before my doctors appt. last week. I have had five nights good sleep. Not waking up looking at the clock. I'm not groggy or in a fog in the morning. MY meds do not require me to have eight hours sleep or else it wasn't for me. I was very verbal about this request. A pity party may be in the works but it will come and go and then I will get back on track. Last year at this time, I would have never known. At present time, we will try to keep a normal routine. But next year, I will celebrate. Take a well deserved trip with the family. Go to the beach, get my hair cut, and Praise God for the opportunity to live on this great planet Earth. Oh yeah, enjoy a good piece of chocolate.

Take some time to enjoy the day. Listen to the birds sing, the warmth of the sun, the children playing and feeling good about yourself. My Faith will keep me strong and my Family will make me smile. Life is good.
