Surviving Step by Step: Vacation's Over

We were all tired, but for me it was exhausting. I did like being in the fresh air. I slept better each evening after going out. Once the sun finally came out, we headed to the beach in the late afternoon. It was chilly and breezy.

The boys took in a game of mini-golf and my cousin and I sat and chit-chatted at the 18th hole. Was interesting watching the kids try to get the ball in!  Some started over, others stopped the ball from rolling too far. Quite entertaining. I truly enjoyed my cousin's visit and know my husband did, too But like all vacations, the time went fast. All is back to normal.

I will have my third chemo treatment Wednesday. It will be a long day. Five hours, to be exact. I will have Herceptin, too. I get nervous about my day. After my second treatment , I had a few more side effects. I'm preparing my mind for this. My body? Well, as long as I eat well, take my pills and get some sleep, that is all I can do. What will be, will be. I was tired and lightheaded today. Took a small nap before my blood work. 

Hair update: Still have stubble. Coming out faster. I have been going without the wig or beanies around the house. My children look at me funny. Sometimes they don't want to look at me when we talk. Their eyes start wandering. I get up and put a beanie on. They have reached their "Momma has no hair" limit. They know it will not last forever. So as I start my new rollercoaster ride from my chemo, I will remember that other people have gone through this craziness. I have my support team willing to help me and feel blessed with love all around me. My Faith will keep me strong and my Family will make me smile. Life is good.
