Navarre Press, located in a beautiful beach community in Northwest Florida, is seeking a community newspaper journalist who enjoys watchdog reporting and telling great stories.
Our ideal candidate will cover general assignment stories, as well as work on projects dealing with budgets, following money trails, keeping our public officials accountable and accessing public records to use in databases and story projects. Understanding how to use photos and video to tell stories is a plus.
Navarre Press is a high-quality news organization that has won the general excellence awards many times as well as more than a hundred of other journalism awards since our founding ten years ago. We are an AP member newspaper and enjoy all the benefits that AP can bring to our journalists. No high maintenance people need apply - only people that want to practice good journalism and have fun while pursuing their passion of reporting a good news story. Please send two examples of investigative/watchdog stories or projects you've completed, as well as five more examples of newspaper writing such as features, spot news, etc.
