Navarre man lucky to be alive following a-fibMonday, 20 May 2013 14:19Ken Gilbert beat the odds. But, he had help.
When Gilbert fell to the floor in his Navarre home and was clinically dead after his heart went into atrial fibrillation on May 7, research shows that he had a five percent chance of returning to the land of the living. Gilbert’s wife, Pat, and a host of local first responders didn’t waste one second worrying about those numbers.

Heroes on the Water EventSaturday, 18 May 2013 07:40Heroes on the Water Emerald Coast Chaptor got underway in Navarre this morning with 17 Anglers and their Volunteer Kayak fishermen coaches. Heroes on the Water (HOW) serves all military personnel who have been wounded, injured or disabled. What looks like a day trip of paddling and fishing for wounded vets is in fact something much deeper and long-lasting.
