My doctors appointment went very well. Blood work was good. I will go back in six weeks to see my oncologist. I have an Echocardiogram scheduled for Thursday Nov. 24th, followed by a mammogram on Monday. Thanksgiving has a very personal meaning for my family and I this year. We are so Blessed and Thankful.

It was so nice to hear the results straight from my doctor. We discussed my Herceptin treatment and will let the medicine drip an extra fifteen minutes to lessen the side effects. I have 12 more treatments so the countdown begins. I went on a Herceptin website and was reading about other peoples side effects. Some are the same but others I do not have. Yeah!! My Echo test is to monitor my heart. The Herceptin can make the heart not function properly. If it gets below a certain range, they may consider stopping the meds for a while. I hope that doesn't happen. I'm so close to finishing. My first mammogram since my diagnosis is coming up the end of November. I know it will be good. I'm only worried about being squeezed on my left side.  Where the incisions are is still touchy. Even though it has been close to a year since the surgeries. My skin area under the breast will never be the same. I will tough it out because staying strong is important. But that is what is bothering me now.

There is a list of persons to thank through my year long challenge.  Thank you to all the nurses and doctors for the good care. Surgeries, treatment plans. infusions and radiation.  Thanks to my family, friends and support people who were there after treatments to lend a hand. Cooking and running errands and taking my children places. Being there to talk with when I was feeling low. For saying I looked good when it was obvious that I was having a bad day. Thank you. I appreciate each and every one of you. My Hope was kept up with all the help received. May God Bless You the way he has Blessed me and my Family.

Happy Thanksgiving.  My Faith will keep me strong and my Family will make me smile. Life is good.
