Proponents for a dog park in Navarre may be yapping with glee at the start of 2010.

During the Nov. 12 meeting of the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners, Commissioner Gordin Goodin proposed the board approve funding no more than $20,000 for the construction of a dog park near the Navarre Youth Sports Association.

The money would be allocated from the District 4 recreation funds.
