Continuing with its educational outreach campaign, the Holley-Navarre firefighters hosted its first open house and “Haunted Firehouse of Horror” on Oct. 30, drawing hundreds from the Navarre area.
“I was absolutely shocked about how many people showed up for (the event),” said Lt. Dan Davidson, who volunteered to dress as the scarecrow host, leading “victims” into the haunted house. Firefighters volunteered more than 48 man hours to revamp a metal firehouse used for training at Station 45 for the event. “We had folks waiting in line for up to 20 minutes.”
