Four weeks have passed by and now there is an uncomfortable feeling from treatment. I use the lotion four times a day, sometimes more, just to keep the comfort level tolerable. I get more agitated now and want this just to be over.

It seems almost overnight the underneath part of my breast began to bother me a lot more. It always feels warm, and with all the lotion, I must be careful it doesn’t get chaffed. I’m glad the weekend is here to give me a break for two days. I’m starting to dread the remainder of my radiation treatment. I can tolerate pain but I really would rather not have to deal with it. The lady tech also said the underarm area can get uncomfortable. Right now, mine is good.

Even though the time is going fast, it still will be a long summer. I would like to have some cloudy days, rainy days and cooler weather. Two out of three is fine.

I was saddened to hear about some famous people who passed away this week, maybe because I grew up with them over the years. I loved dancing to disco a looong time ago and always watched  “Charlie’s Angels”  when I lived at home. My dad liked watching it, too. Ah, the carefree days of youth; I have a CD of old disco songs that I listen to once in awhile. My children have picked out their favorite tunes. Funny, because there is no disco on the radio anymore – it’s called rap. If they hummed it somewhere, the older generation who recognized the song may look at them quizzically. I think music is good for the soul. It is soothing and relieves stress. So enjoy your type of music and sing along.

Next weekend is the Fourth of July. Wow. I love seeing the fireworks. I may stay in the car somewhere and watch them; I haven’t made plans yet. I will listen to my body and wait until toward the end of the week. I may be tired or real sore. I hope not. Sometimes Plan B turns out to be the better choice.

My Faith will keep me strong and my Family will make me smile. Life is good.
