A Santa Rosa County man faces charges of possession of child pornography following a joint investigation with the Attorney General’s and the Santa Rosa County Sherriff’s offices.
William August Jones, 65, was arrested Tuesday, June 22 by the Attorney General’s CyberCrime Unit after investigators discovered Jones had multiple images of child pornography in his possession.
CyberCrime investigators found images of child pornography during a routine investigation and traced the images back to Jones’ computer.
A search warrant was executed at his Pace home where five computers and more than 400 CDs were seized for forensic analysis. An initial review of his computers revealed multiple images of child pornography and Jones admitted he possessed the images during the investigation.
Jones was booked into the Santa Rosa County jail and faces charges of two counts of possession of child pornography, a third-degree felony.
