A sidewalk might have saved Elizabeth Dawn Allmon.
Allmon, 51, was bicycling west on the north shoulder of Navarre Parkway on June 9 when a car drifted across the white line, onto the shoulder, and struck the rear of Allmon’s bicycle. She was thrown 170 feet through the air and landed on the road’s shoulder, suffering fatal injuries.
